Lindsey Adams Buckingham (Palo Alto, 3 de outubro de 1949) é um cantor, compositor, guitarrista e produtor musical americano, mais conhecido por ser um membro do grupo musical Fleetwood Mac. Além de seu período com a banda, Buckingham também lançou cinco álbuns solo e um álbum ao vivo. Como membro do Fleetwood Mac, ele foi inserido no Hall da Fama do Rock and Roll em 1998. Foi considerado o 100º melhor guitarrista de todos os tempos pela revista norte-americana Rolling Stone. 

Nascido em Palo Alto, Califórnia, Buckingham foi o terceiro e mais novo filho de Rutheda (nascida Elliott) e de Morris Buckingham. Teve dois irmãos mais velhos, Jeff e Greg. Crescendo na comunidade de Atherton, na área da baía de São Francisco, Buckingham e seus irmãos foram incentivados a nadar competitivamente. Embora Buckingham tenha largado o esporte para seguir a música, seu irmão Greg foi um medalhista de prata nos Jogos Olímpicos do México, em 1968. Ele se casou com a fotógrafa Kristen Messner e tem três filhos. 

A primeira experiência de Buckingham na guitarra ocorreu em uma guitarra Mickey Mouse de brinquedo, tocando a grande coleção de discos de vinil do seu irmão Jeff. Percebendo seu talento, os pais de Buckingham compraram para ele uma guitarra Harmony de 35 dólares. 

Buckingham nunca tomou lições de guitarra e não estudou música. Aos 13 anos, interessou-se pela música folk e, influenciado pelos métodos do banjo, praticou os estilos fingerpicking do Trio de Kingston.
