Esta é a mais abrangente antologia de música inspirada na Guerra do Vietnã até hoje lançada. Ela é composta por mais de 330 títulos de músicas que abrangem todas as facetas da guerra e suas consequências com The Doors, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Country Joe McDonald e dezenas de outros artistas. Contém também material documental raramente ouvido, incluindo patrióticos anúncios de serviço público, reportagens de campo e transmissões de rádio norte vietnamitas interceptadas de Jane Fonda e Hanoi Hannah.
 


Acompanha os CDs um livro fartamente ilustrado, colorido, com 304 páginas contendo extensas notas de artistas e músicas, a história da Guerra do Vietnã e lembranças das canções favoritas dos soldados veteranos norte-americanos. Além disso, existem dois CDs com músicas exclusivamente escolhidas por veteranos do Vietnã, bem como depoimentos gravados por soldados durante a guerra que nunca antes foram lançadas no país.
