A formação oficial da banda era: Dave Hill, Mal Spooner. Clive Cook. Paul Riley e John Wright. Quando eles assinaram com a Carrere que editaria o “Night o f The Demon”, Clive Cook e Paul Riley foram substituídos por Les Hunt e Chris Ellis respectivamente. Esta nova formação gravaria o disco “Expected the Unexpected”.
Neste álbum a banda já havia voltado a trabalhar com a Clay, que estava melhor estruturada e lançou seus LP´S seguintes: "The Plague" (1983) e "British Standard Approved" (1985). Este último se transformou no seu melhor álbum até a data, trazendo novas mudanças para o grupo: Gavin Sutherland, John Waterhouse, e Steve Watts entravam na banda, e traziam outras influências para o som do Demon.
Em 85 eles lançariam “Heart of Our Time”. Nesta época aconteceu um fato que chocou muito a banda: sete dias após aprontarem o novo trabalho, o guitarrista Mal Spooner faleceu devido a uma Pneumonia.
Apesar do abalo, eles seguiram em frente. Para o disco "Breakout" (87) a banda trazia mais uma mudança no Line-up. O competente Andy Dale era oficialmente o novo baixista.
No final dos anos 80, O Demon ainda lançou “Taking The World By Storm” em 1989 e um álbum ao vivo, gravado na Alemanha em 1990 chamado “Helluva Night”. A banda continuou as mudanças no line up, até se estabilizar em 92 com Mike Thomas e Paul Rosscrow.
O disco lançado deixa muito a desejar e a banda se congela até 2001, quando retorna com o disco “Spaced Out Monkey” que resgata todo o prestígio que a banda havia conquistado no início da carreira. Texto: Letras.
